My FamilyRx · Arghan Studios LLC

Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 19, 2026

1. Who this covers

This policy describes what My FamilyRx collects from you and the people in your household, what we do with it, and how to get a copy of it or get rid of it. My FamilyRx is published by Arghan Studios LLC.

2. What we collect

  • Sign-in: your phone number, which our sign-in provider holds and uses to text you a one-time code. There is no password, and we do not ask for an email address. What we keep on our side is the account identifier the provider gives us, not the number itself.
  • Household and people: the household name, and for each person their name, relationship, role, date of birth, sex, weight, allergies, health conditions, and any kidney (eGFR, creatinine clearance, CKD stage) or liver-impairment values a clinician has given you.
  • Medicines: what you record about each medicine — name, brand, active ingredients, strength, form, instructions, quantity and amount remaining, prescribed and expiry dates, prescriber, pharmacy and NDC — together with the schedule times you set and every dose you log as taken, snoozed or skipped, including who gave it.
  • Vital signs: the blood-pressure, blood-sugar, heart-rate, weight and oxygen readings you record, with their date and any note.
  • Photos: the pictures you take of medication labels and packaging, and any profile photo you add for a person.
  • Doctors and pharmacies: the prescribers and pharmacy you save, with their name, specialty, phone number and address.
  • Appointments: the title, date, location and note of any appointment you add.
  • Address: the home address and country you optionally type so the app can find pharmacies near you. The app never asks for your device's location.
  • Purchases: whether your household has a paid plan, which plan it is, and when it renews. We never see or store a card number, a bank detail or a billing address — Apple and Google take the payment, and our purchase provider tells us only that one was made.
  • Service records: the ordinary technical logs our hosting provider keeps in order to run and debug the service.

3. What we do with it

We use this information only to run My FamilyRx for you: to store your household's records, to check what you enter against a clinical reference, to read medication labels from the photos you take, to show schedules and reminders, and to find pharmacies near an address you type. There is no advertising, no analytics and no tracking software in the app, and we do not build profiles of you.

4. Who processes it for us

Health information should not vanish into an unnamed supply chain, so here is everyone who touches it.

  • Convex hosts our database and file storage. Every record and photo described above is stored there.
  • Clerk runs sign-in. It holds your phone number and sends the verification code.
  • Anthropic and OpenAI read medication labels. When you photograph a label, that photo is sent to one of them with an instruction to report only what is printed on it — the medicine's name, brand, strength, form, expiry date, and the prescriber and pharmacy when it is a pharmacy label. One of them is also used, when the app puts a safety finding into plain language, and for that it receives the medicine's name and the findings the clinical engine has already produced, alongside the first name shown for the person. OpenAI is additionally used to redraw a label photo into a clean product picture for your cabinet. Neither provider is asked for medical advice, and nothing else from your household is sent to them.
  • openFDA (US Food and Drug Administration) and DailyMed (US National Library of Medicine) supply drug-label text and official product pictures. We send them a medicine name or an NDC — never anything about a person.
  • OpenStreetMap's Nominatim and Overpass services turn the address you type into coordinates and list the pharmacies near it. They receive that address, or those coordinates, and nothing else.
  • RevenueCat records whether your household has a paid plan, if you buy one. It receives your account identifier and what the store tells it about the purchase; we use that to switch the paid tools on for your household. Apple and Google take the payment itself — no card number, bank detail or billing address ever reaches us or RevenueCat, and none of your household's health information is sent to any of them.
  • The NPI Registry (US Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) is searched when you look up a prescriber. It receives the name and town you searched for, and nothing about you or your medicines.

These providers process the data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. Several of them operate in the United States, so your information may be processed there.

5. We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or health information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We disclose it only to the providers listed above, to the people you invite into your household, and where the law requires it.

6. Who in your household can see what

Everyone in a household can see and edit all of that household's profiles, medicines, dose records, vitals and appointments. An invite code hands over that access, so share one only with someone you mean to give it to, and remove anyone who should no longer have it.

7. Keeping your data, and deleting it

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Individual people, medicines, photos, doctors, pharmacies, appointments and vital readings can be deleted in the app at any time.

  • To delete your whole account: open My FamilyRx, go to More → Delete account, and confirm. That permanently deletes your account and the household records it holds — profiles, medicines, schedules, dose history, vitals, appointments, doctors, pharmacies, and the label and profile photos. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.
  • Or email cedricluma@icloud.com with the phone number you signed up with, and we will delete it within 30 days.
  • The same instructions are published at https://familyrx.arghanstudios.com/delete-account, with no sign-in needed to read them.

If other people share your household, deleting your account does not delete theirs, and the household records belonging to their accounts stay with them. Deletion removes your records from the live service straight away; we keep nothing afterwards except what the law requires.

8. Getting a copy

More → Download my data gives you a file holding your household's records: the people and what you entered about them, their medicines and schedules, the full dose history, and the pharmacy you saved. It is yours to keep, and you do not have to ask us for it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. The app covers export and deletion directly; for anything else, write to cedricluma@icloud.com and we will not charge you or treat you differently for asking.

10. Children

My FamilyRx is built for adults looking after a household. It is not directed to children under 13, and a child may not hold an account — an adult account holder creates and is responsible for a child's profile. We do not knowingly collect information from a child directly. If you believe a child has created an account, write to cedricluma@icloud.com and we will remove it.

11. Security

Your data travels over encrypted connections and is stored using the access controls and encryption our providers offer. Sign-in is a one-time code sent to your phone, so there is no password to be stolen. No service can promise perfect security — tell us at cedricluma@icloud.com if you think someone else has reached your account.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If the change is material, we will ask you to accept the new version in the app.
